the natural way is to let it grow and, get this, stop dying it. you can't dye the roots. that's impossible. the fastest way is to shave it and let it grow back.

uhhm, no offense but I doubt she wants to shave it. just stop dying it. I know you probably dont want half black half brown hair so my suggestion would be to do this. your hair grows a half inch to an inch a month, so every month... cut it an inch shorter. and dont dye your hair. your hair will stay at its same length, but you'll be shortening the amount of black hair you have while your natural color grows back in.
