Black to blonde

Hey guys!
Um I was wondering, can you go from black to blonde with just one applicant of bleach, because my boyfriend is wanting me to put blonde in his hair, and it is dyed black. I don't really care if it damages it, I just want that colorrr brightt...

Yes...and no...When you go from black...to blonde you first have to strip all the color out and the recolor it to the shade of blond you want... you might consider just putting highlights in it..or go to a profesional or its going to look bad....too much on the hair without at least professional guidance......the result might risk your relationship.

Agreed. You could really damage your hair with products like Jolen hair bleach which does work, but it may thin your hair too much. See a colorist at a salon.

what is your bfs natural hair colour? im a trainee hairdresser and personally I would strip the colour from his hair and then apply the bleach. it will work but you are risking it going grey or ginger rather than blonde. try going down to your local salon and asking for proffesional advice
