Buy a fairly expensive nail polish (sorry, but they are better), put on several thin layers rather than one thick one, waiting a while for one to dry before you put on the next one, and then finish with a coat of clear polish, as the others say. BTW, I know I'm meant to do that but it drives me mad to wait so long, so I don't wear nail polish that often! But that is the way to make it stay on...
I don't know because I don't put nailpolish
Try putting a clear varnish over the top
Beat me to it, kimpippin. :P
put two coats of black and a clear top coat on top =]
I know mine chipps all the time it f**king sucks
Even when I put, like, an undercoat, 4 layers of polish AND a clear overcoat on, they still chip. It drives me nuts, 'cause black looks really crappy when chipped and it always takes me ages to paint my nails. I think it's one of life's great perpetual annoyances.
You shouldn't really be wearing it more than 3-5 days straight without taking it off anyway. You need to let your nails breathe.
I've never had problems (with proper application at least). Revlon and Rimmel are great.

How do you keep black nailpolish from chipping?

I was just wanting to know, how do you keep your black nail polish from chipping?
Because I keep having to repaint mine and sometimes I dont have time, so I go out with jacked up fingers! Any advice?
