Yes they are. They are reasonably low in calories and fat, high in fiber, complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals.

I prefer purple hull peas to black eyes. To me purple hull peas have more and better flavor but they are similar from a nutritionally.

I would confirm if black eyed peas have protein, that's not obvious.

Yes there is protein in black eyed peas.
1.5%fat
...0.5%saturates
0.005%cholesterol
0.005%sodium
63%carbohydrate
...22%fibre
...2%sugar
23%protein
Dieticians must find these nutrition facts based on weight sensible but if you don't join the club, presumably the fibre is considered as carbohydrate otherwise it would be more than 100% weight, meanwhile there seems to be 12.49% of something else including calcium and iron.
