Black and white pictures do you think they look better then colour?

When ever I take a picture in balck and white to me to seems to look nicer then coloured ones, do you think this?

my fav are the ones that are in black and white and then have like one thing in color (dont know what they're called)

Most of the time black and white pictures (mostly profile ones and the like) just seem to say 'ooo look at me I'm all deep and dark and stuff'. colours are good, black and white, get that feeling people are trying to hide something.
