Birthday gift h3lp

I have 2 Birthdays coming up. One is for my Ma. Any Ideas on what to Get for her? One thing she does Not like is Jewelery.. .hmmm ... What did you get for your Mother's Birthday?

I also have a guy friend whom has a birthday coming up. I want to get...

him something but nothing expensive like cologne. Would a Handmade Card be more appropriate or. . .??

He's into Music, loves guitar and drawing his own comics and song writing.

Any Ideas what I could do??
