Birth control pill.

on an island Asked by greek3nny 5 months ago, 2 answers.

Ok, I'm on the pill, I've been on the pill for about 4 months. I was told by a doctor that while you are taking the green pills (sugar pills) you are supposed to be on your period. I've never been on my period for that week, it's always been the week...

after. My question is: Can you get pregnant if you are taking the sugar pills and not on your period, or are the pills still in effect?

when you first start on the pill the doctor will tell you it wont work for the first month...if you've been taking the pills for a while then no...well kinda any doctor will tell you there is always a chance that you can get pregnant while on the pill, it isnt 100% full proof. Hope this helps and stay safe

If you've been taking your pills as you should, then you are still protected when using those sugar pills. That is provided it isn't the FIRST month that you are on the birth control pill, because for that first period, you are not protected, but if you've been using them for a while then you will be.
