Birth control after my first baby

I had a baby boy on the 29th of October and I am supposed to wait until the 10th of December to have intercourse due to an episiotomy. I will be getting an IUD 6 weeks after that, but I still have about 30 days to go till I can even think about...

intercourse and I NEED sex already. I will wait until the 10th, but my husband is taking me to a cabin after that and I don't want to use condoms, but I don't want another baby yet either

So, I take it you're getting an IUD so that you don't have to remember to take a pill, and you have to wait another 6 weeks to get it inserted due to healing from having you baby? Well, I would say you should use condoms while on your cabin stay! lol I felt the same way as you and couldn't wait to be with my husband again, so we waited it out and I went on the pill, and we used a condom for the first month. I wanted to be sure the pill was in my system! I have too many friends who have babies back to back because of the same issue you're having! Just use condoms and be patient until you get your IUD just to be safe...there are tons of other ways to make it more enjoyable even with the condom. Just use your imagination!
