Birth control

does anyone know anything about that birth control that you take via injection? like how much it is, where to get it, how often...etttc? thanks!

it's called the depo provera shot,

you can get it from your pharmacy, doctor or free clinic.

I don't know about the price in your country, but around here it's abour are 60 (south-african)

It lasts 3 months, and then you have to get it again,

BUT
it does have a lot of side effects...including weight gain (about 70% of woman on it gain weight) and causing headaches for women, so make sure that it is really the best option for you before taking it. Also if you do get side effects from it, you'll have it for the full 3 months.

Therefore I'd recommend trying an oral contraceptive, because if you have side effects from that (which aren't as common) you can switch to a different brand.

just fyi I used to take the shot. I gained 30 lbs that I have never been able to loose, and have since had two tubal pregnancies resulting in surgery both times and leading to a tube removal this last time. dont know if they are related, but just letting you know
