How do you grow a bing cherry tree from a seed?

Well it takes a year just to get it to nursery size and a bit longer after that. But if you really want to do it from seed you could try a cup with holes punched in the bottom. Fill with soil and fertilizer, according to fertilizer directions. Organic or other slow release fertilizers tend to be easiest, b/c you apply them less often. Soak it with plenty of water until it sprouts. After it sprouts water regularly to keep the soil just barely moist; only whenever it dries out to a depth of 1/2 (not just dry on the surface). Most people over-water.

After it gets bigger, maybe about as high or wide as the cup or thereabouts, you can transplant it to a bigger container until it outgrows that one, etc.

I dunno if they sell hybrid cherries but if they do the seed may not sprout. Something you might want to look into.
