Belly botton peircing

So, I'm thinking about getting my belly botton peirced.
I hear that it can get infected a lot, even if you get it done professionally.
How can I prevent it from getting infected? How bad will it hurt to get it peirced?
Any answers will help happy

I had my belly pierced when I was 13 or 14..
I went to a tattoo place bhecause my mum went there for a tattoo.. probably the best place to go tbh.
when I got mine done it did hurt.. when they pierced it.. and when they put the bar through but its only like a sharp one second pain each time.. its sore but not painfully sore afterwards..
mine got infected.. but it didnt hurt.. I just cleaned everyday.. in some cases you can buy the gel what you clean it with :-) x

it will hurt bad! I had mine done and it got infected rite away I got it professionally done and I culdnt keep it in for longer then a week. I tried everything but the pain wouldnt go away!!

It depends on how they do it. It might and it might not. Use the stuff they give you to put on it. Kinda like when you first get your ears peirced I think.

definatly go to a tattoo parlor to get it done
my parents wouldnt take me so I just did it myself and it didnt hurt (bc I numbed it) and it didnt even get infected.so...? I mean if you clean it out really well twice a day...it shouldnt get infected

Yeah I got mine done about a week ago,
it doesnt hurt at all and it won't get infected if you clean it twice a day just like your piercer will tell you to.

I had my belly done when I was 13 it realy didnt hurt , trust me it don't hurt atall the only part that hurt me was when they was screwing the ball on lol I didnt even feel the needle and even if it does get infected all you have to do is bave it with sault water and then it should be fine it doesnt hurt atall just a lil bit pusy... but its worth it in the long run ... boys think its sexy :D lol

I've read loads of things on the internet I've watched videos on youtube
go to youtube type in bellybutton piercings and videos come up showing you what happens when you get your belly done
