Ok so I've been told by a lot
Of people that im mean
They said its not always good to be honest
Because I bring people down with out knwing it

They told me I should be nicer
I tried giving nice advice
And appearently people think im still being mean
?
But ok I guess

How can I be a "nicer" person?
Then other people on here told me my about me part on here was a bit harsh
I tried softening it down
Any tips on being nicer?

Think about why you're saying what you're saying... If it's simply to insult the person than maybe you just shouldnt say it at all (e.g. calling someone a poser). If it is actually helpful to them then the truth is fine.

From what I've seen or your profile and advice, you have a lot of strong opinions but are not very skilled at expressing them. Being opinionated is fine and admirable, but being arrogant about your opinions, as though they are somehow more valid than anyone else's, is only going to lead to trouble.

Keep being frank, but do so in a way that isn't haughty.

And anyone who uses the "I'm more unique than most people" tack of personal expression is going to engender a lot of resentment, mostly because it's not true. You're only as unique as the 2 million other people who are exactly like you.

speaking the truth is fine - there really is nothing wrong with that, I guess it's how you say it, and put yourself out there. everyone is different and everyone takes in things diffrently, you have to be able to put yourself in the other person's posistion before you say something. for example "why you dressing up so slutty?"... can be toned down by saying "why not cover up a bit?" being too blunt and forward can hurt a lot sometimes, especially to someone who's trying to change their way. - hope that helped

why should you try to change your "niceness level" to accomodate others ?
I wouldn't.
your advice is your advice.
nice or mean. it doesn't matter. its your opinion. annnd if people can "be brought down" by constructive critisism, then I think that instead of you becoming nicer, they need to become stronger.
so
sucks for them.
thats what I think.
