Is acting a "gay" thing for a guy to do?

I want to be an actor but I dunno if acting is like a 'gay' thing for a guy to do, is it? Also how do I start?

It's not a 'gay' thing. I've got a few lad mates that want to be a singer/actor.
Most of them started drama at school and then went to college to do performing arts. Try something like that. No-one will think its 'gay' there are thousands of male actors

It's odd that you would say that. Some of the highest paid actors are male and not 'gay' in the slightest. I wouldn't worry about what people are thinking if its what you want to do. Acting is a hard field to get into. So many people want that little moment in the sun that their is a lot of competition. That said, I think people should reach for their dreams no matter what other people say or how far off it looks.

No, acting isnt an anyway gay for a guy. I am a male and I act all the time! Belive me I am The farthest thing from gay too. If acting is what you want to do my advice is go for it. Dont worry about what other people think if you do you wont be a good actor. you have to go out the and just be yourself trust me its fun. But acting takes up a lot of time and is hard work. So if your serious about it ii would suggest trying out for a play or get lessons!

are you serious? how can you question is acting for a guy 'Gay' I've been an actor for 4 6 years now, I started when I was 12 im going to school in september for dramatic arts and acting, it really is a hard field to get into, one of my friends is 22 now and he's been acting for longer then me and went to school for it and everything, he got tired of not being able to have a steady income so he stopped went back to school to become an anesthesiologist. Now he's rolling in the money like crazy. If you even have to question if it's 'Gay' or not, it sure isn't your thing to do. Personally, I think that you are just wanting to do it for the fame, money, and girls. well those are the perks and its nice just your not going to get very far with that state of mind. I act not only because I've been doing it for so long, but because I love it and my life has had so much chaos because of it and I love it, I'm set for life my agent is great and gets me many movies to play in but you gotta start small so dont be afraid to do a community play once in a while, you may think that its no fun but its some experience and it will also test to see if you truly love the field of work or not maybe its just a want not a need lol like I need to act otherwise I feel like my world is too dull but goodluck find a good play, love it, get an excellent agent, go to school for it, and do well at auditions if you become big I'll seee you then soon maybe do a movie together hah you never know but dont worry about the auditions after a big break you wont need anymore auditions they come to you ahah goodluck once again talk to me if you need any advice
