a LOT of teasing, and a lot of hairspray. just tease a bunch of hair where you want the beehive to be until it looks like one giant rats nest(seriously), spray it and then comb and smooth out the top of the rats nest, so it doesn't look like a wild mess, take a a bobby pin an clip it underneath so it doesn't flatten during the day, and spray it!
okay, that was probably REALLY hair to understand, but, you can go on youtube, and type in 'johnny lavoy create an evening look' and you will come up with a short but sweet video that demonstrates everything I basically just said. he doesn't explain teasing though, so if you don't already know how to tease then search 'hot to tease' on youtube also, there's probably tons of those videos.
