I agree with Here2help. Let them talk. And you, get over it. Somebody will always have something to say about you in life. You could be a hundred years old and people will always talk about you. The only thing there is for you to do is to be proud of who you are, keep you head high and ignore the comments, Chances are, they only want you to feel bad because they feel horrible. Misery loves compay. Don't be their company. Besides I think that being dark is comming back. Look at all the tanning beds and stuff. Dont let them get to you.

Just tell them that your... 'proud of who you are and guess what? News flash everyone different! So get a life and get over it. At least Im not overly judgemental and fake. Im my own person and Im happy that Im the way I am. Me.' I would say that. Lol. Good Luck! =)

next time someone makes fun of you for that say 'hell yeah I'm dark and I look DAMN good.' you can't continue to allow them to have power over you. be confident in your skin and with who are because guess what, you're stuck that way FOREVER, so you better suck it up and work it. you could be the most gorgeous, and nicest person ever and there will still be people hating on you, and judging you, and calling you names. but those people don't matter. only YOU matter.

I used to go to school with this poor girl in high school who was very dark and some thugs called her 'chocolate'. I felt bad for her having to go through this but as I see it now. The only one's who look bad are the one's poking fun. They have nothing else against you and really it's about their desperateness to be accepted. Not you. So just let them know, 'is that all you got?' Just walk away. They won't matter later on. I used to be made fun of by this one kid in Jr High and guess what happened in college? He was trying in French class to tell everyone that I was the most beautiful in the classroom. GEEK. Anyway. Just know it will pass and it's their problem they can't accept you. Not Yours.
