Do you have bad hair dye stories?

Can someone tell me the bad things that have happened to you and/or a friend from dying your hair? I'd also like if you had similar hair (to make these things seem more likely to happen to me); more thin than thick, but not super-thin, a blonde-brown...

color, and a length that is one hand past the shoulders.

take a look at my pictures, my hairs different in nearly everyone of them I change it quite a lot, yeah I've had bad experiences but so does everyone, everyone gets a screw up with hair at least one point in their life, I do my own hair now since the hair salon cut my hair awful and turned me copper about 3 years ago, I haven't gone back since, depends what products you use sometimes too and what condition your hairs in, how you look after it etc.

I had my hair a lovely dark red color forever, and I thought that some platinum blonde highlights would look great with it, yeah right! My mom did them and rubbed it in REAL good at the roots and the result was a two-toned color with yellow at the top and a weird strawberry blonde at the bottom! We then thought that we should just put some more of the dark red over it and everything would be okay... wrong again! My hair turned flourescent orange after that! The next day I stayed home from school and we put a dark brown over it which helped, but my hair was a little multicolored for a while and thank God it didn't fall out, lol!

I had brown hair, but I decided to dye it blonde .. and instead of being blonde it turned organge..

I had blonde hair, that was luminous in colour
and I decided to put red in my fringe (while in the process of quitting smoking- so I was a little edgy)
and it went pink
I then shaved my hair and cryed.
