Bad reputation.

Once you have a bad reputation do you always have it? Or can you change people's mind about what they think about you. Cause none of this stuff about me is true. What do I do.??? My life is falling apart.

somebody made up a rumor that I was gay and it was hard the first year the second year it got a little better and the 3rd year it was almost gone now im a freshman and nobdy calls me gay anymore so just wait it will go away

Well, it all depends. Some people will never let go of things, when others will forget it the next day. In my school there are certain people that are completely forgotten about, when there are people who have had the same reputation for four years and counting. For example, I kind of used to have a reputation for having a huge nose, but then after my plastic surgery I look gorgeous and nobody says anything about it. And when I asked, nobody seemed to remember I had a huge nose in the first place, when they used to make fun of me relentless because of it. Haha. However, there is a guy in my school that still has a bad reputation for having sex with a chicken. Hahaha, I really don't know how true that is.
Hahaa. Well, I'm sure if your reputation isn't that bad people will forget eventually.
I think the only reason the one reputation for that one guy stuck because it's so hilarious. Haha :]

Always is a long time. I know school seems like it is forever. But it really isnt. And once you're out of school, well no, your reputation kinda goes away because there's a big world out there, and no one knows or cares about what kids in your high school said about you.

Go with the reputation! People started calling me 'freak' and 'earmuff girl' (I wear earmuffs it's my trademark) and 'hippie' because of how I act look and dress. And for the sheer irony of it I just laughed at it and now my friends call me 'freak' as a... lovable nickname :D
Trust me you gotta try and be light about the deal.
Although it depends on how bad it is...
Really just don't act mad towards them it only makes them laugh because you were provoked, and that is interesting to them.
No reaction is boring.
The only reason my reputation stayed is because I'm a natural weirdo and I just kinda killed 'em with kindness and... weirdness :D
