I had a rash on my arms for five years (this happened about 15 years ago). I kept going to skin doctors who just kept it under control, but it always came back. I had to wear long sleeves in the summer. About ten years ago I decided I had enough of this rash. So I did research.
Here is my cure. Every night when I showered. Then on my wet skin I put distilled Witch Hazel. Patted myself dry. Did this for a week. Then after a week I still put the distilled Witch Hazel on my wet skin, but with one added addition - petroleum jelly. I greased myself up, and patted myself dry. After doing this for two weeks no more rash. And I did this procedure for another month. Eventually I stopped doing this and I haven't had a rash in ten years.
aveno's diaper rash cream seems to work so much better than desitin for my baby. colloidial oatmeal baths will help too.
