Take him out! a lot of people at bars will buy him a shot knowing he's about to get hitched!

Or even have a BBQ!

It's the best man's duty to make sure the groom doesn't do anything against the bride's wishes. So if she wouldn't approve of a stripper, then don't go for it.

A friend of mine had his recently a and we put together a lot of food a and drinks a and his was a tool party. What guys dont like tools to do woodwork or auto repairs. All he has to do is list the tools he doesnt have and everyone invited gets a copy of the list a few weeks in advance and they also bring a bowl or plater of food. There is will be a lot of socializing and a lot of good food. It makes for a great party for the guys nad the new to be wife will not have anything to worry about.
Try it, it was great fun for us all.

Guys need to get away from the idea that strippers and prostitutes are de rigeur for bachelor parties.

Like the ideas presented above, find something that the groom and his friends enjoy doing and plan an event around that. I knew a guy a few years ago who was a best man for his friend's wedding. Evidently the groom and all their friends are big outdoorsmen, so they pooled their money and rented a fishing cabin for a weekend at a Canadian lake that was known for it fantastic fishing. They took good beer and great food (steak, lobsters etc...) and simply had a 'guy' weekend. They must have loved it because they still all talk about it to this day.

The point is to make it a special event and tie it in to something that the guys like doing. Video game players? How about renting a HUGE high-def t.v. and have food and drinks while gaming for an evening? NASCAR fans? How about a guy trip to a race, or dinner and an outing to a racing school?

There are literally endless options. And all of them sound better to me than getting stinking drunk and reveling in some girls degradation.

P.S. If you ARE going to do the old cliche'd, take him out to the bars and get him drunk routine, DO NOT do it the night before the wedding. Don't ruin the happy couples' day by inducing a world class hangover for the groom on his wedding day. It's poor etiquette and the bride will definitely be pissed. Plus, it just makes you and your 'boys' look like asses. :D
