Babies weight

My son is now 2 and a half months and weigh almost 16 pounds is he too big for his age and his birth weight was 8.08

I've looked up this and it seems like a lot of people are saying it is fine. I guess it just depends on your genetics.

As his pediatrician. Do not go by what some teenager on this sight thinks. If your child's health is jeopardized by being overweight or underweight HIS doctor will say so. I've been on here for several months now and I've never encountered an actual DOCTOR- let alone anybody who is qualified to give a medical opinion on baby weight gain.
Do not put him on a diet- that could have dangerous repercussions. Talk to his doctor if you have concerns. He's probably quite fine. My son grew a ton the first few months too. Your little one may be going through a growth spurt, and he'll likely level out.

(don't you just love well-baby exams???) I live for my son's. It's a lot of fun charting their growth.
Enjoy him- plumper babies are great. You actually have MORE to worry about if he were to have been underweight. Congrats on your little bubba, by the way.
