Attracting butterflies

Evening Sky Asked by airnavigator about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I recently visited a butterfly exhibit at a local botanical garden and was awed by their beauty. I know that butterflies drink the nectar in flowers but are there particular flowers that attract butterflies to your garden?

I thought this was an interesting question, so I did a little Googling...Certain flowers attract butterflies...among these are: Hollyhock, Azaleas, Beebalm (I have some of this in my garden, and hummingbirds love it too), Blackfoot Daisy, Salvia, Cosmos. and way way more...

Here's the site...

there is literally a plant called a Butterfly Bush that has large clusters of purple flowers on them...try that...or honeysuck and star jasmine...those work so well...every year we have hundreds of butterflies in our yard on those plants.
