Are they reading too much into it??

My friends have somehow got the idea me and my babys godfather who is also my best friend.. are together =S. They are being really funny with me about it aswell but I dont want to change the way me and him are around each other just to keep them happy....

Me and him have spoke about this and both think its rediculous, just because he has always been there for me helping me through the bad times lending me money helping me move into my flat, there with me during the labour and birth and always there to put a smile back on my face and help me out with the real babys dad, he always makes sure my son's safe and well everyday. Why should we have 2 change how we act becuase of what my friends think. But I dont want to lose them either why cant they just understand were really close. What can I say to them to make them see this

I think thy are if this bloke was a girl they wouldnt say anything. why cant girls have best boyfriends if you no what I mean just let them carry on thinking that its their lose in the end, and you mate sounds great wish I had one like that

wow, im the godfather to my friends child, and nobody believes that we've never fooled around. its just one of those strange relationships that people who have not experience it will never understand. because it seriously is odd, but thats just how it works out sometimes. your friend sounds just like me, he must be one cool guy, lol
