I don't want to go to my doctor or tell my rents im depressed, so I was wondering if there are any over-the-counter anti-depressants so no one has to know...

Some people take St. John's Wort for depression. This is an herbal treatment that is available over the counter. Lots of people swear by it though scienfitic studies do not agree on its efficacy. Worth a try anyway.

Also consider that perhaps your parents, good friends, councelors etc. may be able to help you. Depression is nothing to be ashamed of.

Depression is a very serious problem that can get out of hand faster than you'd think.

Talk to your parents--they won't be mad, because you haven't done anything wrong. Depression doesn't affect "bad" people, or "sick" people. It can affect anyone, and it's most likely no one's fault.

Thats right. If people know, why should they feel any different towards you? You are just having some negative feelings thats all. Everyone has negative feelings a lot of the time, so if anyone finds out or knows, its not that bad. You are still the same person no matter what, your just feeling a little worse than usual. I have been this way before, but it went away for me. Also, I have heard that anti-depressants can increase your thoughts on sucide AND homicide. Thats killing yourself and even murder. So I hope this informatioon helps you too! I hope I helped and I hope you get/feel better soon!
Good Luck. <3

It's better for you to talk to your parents or a school counselor or someone NOW rather than wait until depression has caused you to consider something more drastic. Depression will rob you of everything good in life and completely cripple your future if you let it. Please find someone to trust and don't let this disease win. There are many of us who live with it every day so you aren't alone. The only shame is in giving up without a fight.
