Anything to heal hearing??

Comment for jester_x's profile Asked by thex13thxchild (Online now) 11 months ago, 3 answers.

I know there's supposedly nothing that will heal ones' hearing, but I refuse to believe that. There's something for everything almost, why not your hearing? I know it's tiny hairs in your ears that enable you to hear, as you get older you loose the ones...

in the front which looses a person's ability to hear high pitched tones. But hey, there's got to be something that will heal a person's hearing. Any body have any information how to heal hearing? I have to put up with load racket every day it hurts my ears. I'm beginning to notice the difference in my hearing, specially my right ear compared to my left I don't like it.

Unfortunately, there is nothing currently available to 'heal' the damage caused to your hearing. Nature will repair some temporary damage, but hearing loss often is permanent. Hearing aids may help partially in overcoming permanent los, but they merely amplify and shape soundwaves before passing them into your natural ear. Ageing does diminish hearing ability, but there are things you can do to help preserve the hearing you have.

The best bet is not to allow your hearing to be damaged in the first place. If you're in a high-noise environment, use earplugs if you cannot control the level of sound. Too many people have damaged their hearing by attending venues with very high sound pressure levels, or even by having headphones or earbuds too loud. It's an occupational hazard for radio jocks and for pilots of certain types of aircraft.

If you can't avoid the (noise/music) problem, lessen it with earplugs or ear protectors. Remember, you only get one set of ears to last you your lifetime.

I'm not deaf . but thank you very much for your information.
I still have pretty good hearing, I'm able to hear the TV when it's mute such, but I realise my right ear is a bit harder of hearing than my right, I just don't like the differnces, I hear, it agitates me. I admit, I'm vain aboiut my hearing.
I don't use head phones hardly, they hurt my ears, I usually avoid loud noises. But when in my mother's house everything's loud there's no escping that. I doubt she'll like it if I use ear plugs to tune everything out(might just kick me out of her house XD). But thank you for your advice none the less ^_^

try looking into chiropractics...it may sound silly or it may not make sense, but my brother in law is a chiropractor and tells me that there are so many things that chiropractics can do that people dont know...so if anything just do some research on it.
