The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd is a really really great book. Its set in Georgia, and the story is about a girl finding herself. It's really unique and interesting. Another good one in The Handmaid's Tale. I'm not sure who wrote that one, but its super good.
'Who Moved My Cheese?'
Michael J Fox's autobiography
A series starting with 'A Child Called It' followed by 3 more books last time I checked
Marketing / business stuff:
Crossing the Chasm (if you're into marketing)
The Tipping Point (again, if you're into marketing)
What Would Machiavelli Do by Stanley Bing (tongue in cheek...certainly food for thought though)
Spiritual / Enlightenment
Celestine Prophecy (good book, solid story, engaging, and enlightening)
The Art of War ( Sun Tzu, oldest military text in the world)
The Tao Te Ching (ancient Chinese philosphy...I've read it more than a dozen times, will open your mind)
It's funny, some of the best books I've read have been from recommendations in discussions just like this one
Good idea!
Breaking the chains of life.

I read this book called Daddy's Little Girl, this book is so good, I couldn't put it down
I agree with sassy007. The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is an awesome series. Also the Magic or Madness trilogy is another. I could give you a lot of young adult books and some more adult books but I still like them all.
