Gotta be careful with stuff like that, ya. My mom is bipolar, and we've had some pretty fun years treating it. And sometimes the medicine can be as bad as the condition itself in affecting how you think.

Alright. I dont think talking to a bunch of people online who dont have medical degrees or training in the mental health field is quite the way to go on this one. Medication does not change your feelings for someone. Perhaps you need to talk to your doctor further, or do research further on what medication does. Did you ever think that maybe the girl started to feel better, and realized she wasnt in a relationship because she loved him, but she depended on him for emotional support, and then she realized she didnt have to be with a guy just for that? Or perhaps she just realized they were different people? Perhaps they grew apart? Perhaps he wasnt willing for her to get better, because he liked her being dependent on him? You have absolutely no idea why they broke up, and whether or not it was a good thing... Maybe he hit her... Who knows... You cannot not take medication because two people broke up... It could have happened anyways...
And if your boyfriend truly loves you, his primary concern should be you getting better, not you staying with him... Because when you love someone, you want the best for them, even if that best is without you...

im 21 and went on anti depressants last year..my doseage had to increased..I found that they helped me..mt moods wernt as bad and I wasnt takin my anger out on my boyfriend.

a lot of people were tellin me not to take them and others were tellin me to go on and take em.. I said id give it a go and I can honestly can say they have worked 4me..

im off mine over a month..I just stopped takin dem and I notice the difference..im snappin at people and gettin worked up over notin.. im going to start takin them agen..because if you totali stop takin den them your back to square one.. what you have to do is weane urslf of them..like a mother does to her baby when shes moving it over to solid foods..

My opinion is if you feel your depression is really bad without them I would try and give them a chance then. but if your depressions not that bad I wouldnt worry about it. I was given antidepressants, but I need to take them cause my depressions really bad.

the least it could do is make you feel better. im hoping mine works and I hope it works for you to. dont worry about breaking up with your boyfriend. maybe that couple was just having problems thats why she broke up with him.
