When a person asks a question on here, if the responders answer is too long would the respondee even read it? Or would they just look for the short answers?

I personally read all the answers that are given; those people have taken time out to help me, and what happens if there is something important in the longer answer? I’m going to miss it, aren’t I? Therefore, there was no real point in me asking the question in the first place.

I think the people who provide longer answers have usually put more thought into what they are saying, and I appreciate that they have. However, I’m not saying that the people who write short answers are bad or wrong; it just depends on the question that's being asked; for example, if someone asks for a name of a song and its artist, they’re probably not going to want the whole history of the band, are they? However, some questions do require a longer answer to be helpful or to get the point across.

Well like for example if I was writing to u, I would write and whatever I write you will be able to see! Now it's your choice if you want to read it! So however long you make it is how long you make it! No one can change how you write answers!

I personally like keeping it short, and reading the shorter ones. I find the long ones tend to ramble on when they could be shortened into something a lot smalled. Kind of depends on the subject of the question I guess.
