you can use another source of birth control. condoms are most popular. I'm not sure how long they stay in your system. I'll find out for you if nobody else doesn't get to it first! I'll let cha know!

The pill works (depending on what pill it is) by changing the way your body works, it stops ovulation... so you dont actually release an egg... The week that you take off is to allow your body to go through menstruation, you only take the pill so it continues to be a daily habit.

The hormones themselves arent stopping pregnancy, they're changing the way your body works and that prevents pregnancy (if that makes sense?)

If you click on this link it will take you to birthcontrol pills, click on the one you're using, and look up mechanism of action and it will tell you exactly how the pill prevents pregnancy (although really your doctor should have explained it to you)

Thats aweosme, ty, because I can't seem to find anything. I find tons of stuff on birth control but can't find any on the inactive pills. I hope your answer helps!

Once again, dawnathan proves her research skills sadly lacking. Condoms are not, nor have they ever been, the most popular form of birth control. That position is held by the intrauterine device, or IUD.

keep doing birth control make sure you dont mess up on taking it and if you are sexualy active use a condom everytime just in case anything happens.
