How fast does the pill go into your blood stream? And is it possible that if you use the restroom (#1) like an hour afterwards it wouldn't effect it? Im just so confused the whole thing if you throw it up you lose it but if its already in the blood stream why does it matter doesnt the same apply?

Look, when you pee you have nothing to worry about, thats to different systems. And it takes a good month to be 99% effective. If you just take the pill and throw up it would have no time to be absord so it wouldnt be I you stream yet, but If its like 5 hours later I dont think it matters. Just to be safe don't throw up! lol. I'm on the depo provera ci (the b.c. shot) it's so much easier than the pill, you only have to get the hot ones every 3 months I'm about to take my third one. You may want to look in to that it. Plus it only takes 2 weeks to become effective and you cant throw it up.

again, using the bathroom has nothing to do with anything (Why do you even imagine it does?) and it depends on your system, if you have food in your stomach etc, on how fast the pill gets into your blood stream

the reason if you throw up it matters is because it could be in your stomach for a few hours... if you throw up it is possible that you throw up the pill...

My doctor told me that it takes like ~3 months for it to be completely effective, it probley varies from brand to brand though. You still need to be using condoms when on the pill though because the pill doesn't at all prevent STD's. Also some medications can completely block out the pill - I was on some medication for a throat infection I had and my doctor told me my birth control pill wasn't effective while on that medication. Peeing wont make the pill at all go away, throwing up might. Also if you aren't taking it when you are supposed to, like every day, the pill becomes less effective. I know someone who drank a lot and she'd throw up all the time because of drinking so much and her birth control became none effective because of her throwing up so much and she ended up pregnant.
