Q: Americans and British

I know we all have ideas about what were all like so I was just wondering what people think about Americans. Sort of like steriotypical american and sterotypical British people. Not wanting to start and argument because I bet that half of what people think wont be true anway. Just think it could be kinda amusing

A: This isnt what I ment! I didnt want to start an argument!!! Please dont call british people. We have lovely accents.Specially geordies!! Also how can you say we dont have the brain!! How can you catagorise a whole nation on that!! How pathetic. Shakspeare- English greatest poet ever known? But ohh no you said all british people are lame so hey never mind- The Beatles, Queen, Leona Lewis, Keira Knightly and loads more and you say were all lame!! verry small mind indeed

A: ***I mean like the whole money problem is all the Americans fault. My business teacher, my mum and our government (on a telly advert?) explained that it's Americas fault. *** Well, your business teacher, your mum, and your government obviously all agree that it's easier to blame the US for everything that take accountability for the stupid decisions made by British banks and investors. The UK, and the rest of Europe, have no one but themselves to blame for their current financial quandry. Anyway, the stereotypical American is overweight, eats a lot of processed food, is loud and obnoxious, ignorant of other cultures and languages from lack of travel, and clings to his guns and religious views. The stereotypical British person is alcoholic, has poor hygiene and dental care, participates in riots whether his football team wins or loses, and overall has destructive partying habits. The two stereotypes share one thing, other than speaking the English language: they believe themselves to be superior to everyone else. Having lived in both the UK and the US for a number of years, I find these stereotypes very amusing.

A: Personally I love the Americans, love their sport, lifestyle and living. Really wish I was there...I think our two countries should be more closer together like old times. And besides I love the american accent. Yeah I really hate sterio types...as 'kingofpop' says above they have totally nailed the British Sterio type 'The stereotypical British person is alcoholic, has poor hygiene and dental care, participates in riots whether his football team wins or loses, and overall has destructive partying habits.' But I don't get why 'The Majority' of Brits have such narrow mind when it comes to sister countries, like for example when it comes to american sport I ofen get ribbed because I don't watch football, cricket, rugby or any other british sport and I even pay extra to see Baseball, Ice Hockey, Basetball and American Football, there are some real narrow minded and really annoying Brits who seem to allow every culture into this country
