Given the actions of the British, widespread revolutionary propaganda and the words of Thomas Paine, why would so many colonists(north america) still not be willing to call for a new and independent nation? Give at least three reasons and list supporting...

1) They were under the British law, and declaring Independence would mean siging your own death treaty.
2) Declaring independence would mean war, which many people did not want.
3)This person who had been declaring independece, John Adams, was a 'widely unliked and antagonizing person'.

We're doing the Revolution, in American History, too. We just finished watching the movie 1776.
