Am i wrong for leaving my boyfriend when he went to jail?

Hi My name is Passion and I LOVED my boyfriend to death but when went to jail I could see myself going through with being with him while he do his time.I'm young and I have never experienced nothing like this before in my life Am I wrong for leaving him?

no baby you are not wrong cuz i experienced that. I did not want me or my daughter to be exposed to something like that. Don't feel guilty. there is more and better men out there. Notice i said men not boys!

im only 16, but i think it wasnt wrong, i can see many different reasons why you would leave him, i dont think what you did was wrong

You made a decision based on what you need- it wasn't wrong, I think it was smart. If you truly love him, you can be there for him as a friend as he goes through this. But, make sure you give yourself the space you need to take care of yourself and your own life while he's in jail. Good luck

No, I do not think it is wrong. I think it is really great that you want more for yourself. You don't need a guy who already has a criminal history! You can be there for him as a friend if you want, but don't feel bad about leaving.

i think that was wrong because if you loved him you shoulda been there no matter what happened and him gettin locked up was not his plan and this is a time when he needs you the most to be there to keep him focused and grownded and help his sentence seem shorter i think that was dead wrong and that wasn't love that you had for him that was lust !

Getting locked up might not have been his plan, but he didn't have a good plan in the first place if he did something bad enough to go to jail. You should most definitely leave him, and if and when he gets out and can prove to you that he has changed for the better, then you can go from there. Don't let anyone tell you that what you did was wrong. The only people who would do that, are people who want to live below what they are worth.
