Am I ugly and what to do?

I always think to myself im ugly, but people tell me im pretty. But recently its been
getting me down and im always looking at myself in the mirror and thinking im ugly.
What can I do?

God made us in his own image so do not think you are Ugly. I'm a black and most whites tend to hate blacks because they think we are Ugly. but you know what I don't give a dime about what they say . Imagine yourself as the most beautiful woman on earth then you will see yourself to be beautiful.

Can we ban the word ugly please? Everyone is asking this question now.

well for starters, you can try not calling yourself ugly all the time, cause you're not..

Pretty. I also think you need to stop looking in the mirror to find flaws. You are being too self conscious. You will outgrow those feelings. Soon you will focus on the inside and what you have to offer.

everyone asks that. people arent ugly, everyone is beatiful on the inside unless your just a cruel person... with a lot more bad qualities... you're not 'ugly'. don't even say that. I don't even think that word should be in our vocabulary... and a lot of people ask this question... I use to think that I was, but I'm not... and even though some people say I am, I know it's not true... But then again a lot of people tell me I'm pretty too.

It's just a horrible stage we go through as females - just when you're becoming your prettiest, you most fear being ugly! I can't even work out if girls really think they're ugly, or just do it for reassurance. Either way: a) most girls aren't ugly; b) you're definitely not ugly; c) 'ugliness' is mainly about the way we behave e.g. cruelty, not about how we look.

I don't think your ugly at all! :-) Sometimes it makes me feel pretty when I get a manicure, get my hair done, and go to a party!

consider 'bad' and look for those really special qualities you have.

Yes, you are a beautiful girl! Everyone is beautiful in there own way… but to tell you the truth, you shouldn’t need other to say you are beautiful to make you feel beautiful! It’s natural to feel that way sometimes, especially at your age! Insecurity doesn’t help… especially if you don’t know yourself very well!! At that point all you have to rely on is how society pictures you (that’s why you are on this sight right now)! What you really need to work on before you have a boyfriend is how you look at yourself!!

Everyone else’s comments are ok, but they cover up the problem, kind of like a bandaid to the situation! They patch up the problem, but don’t actually help with the underlining issue… insecurity!!

You are a very insecure girl, as most people are at your age! Some people never grow out of it!!! What I would suggest is to start with something small, something that is important to me (whatever it maybe) and accomplish it! Once you get a few of those under your belt you can work your way up to bigger and more important things! By setting goals and achieving them you can slowly build up your confidence! Confidence is KEY in EVERY situation!!

No one wants others to judge them, but they do, others will always judge you, THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE, but what you can change is how you see yourself! If you are comfortable in you own skin, then who cares what others think!
