Am i too young 2 get a cell phone??

my mom has the lg scoop, and I want the same one. except purple. first of all , do any of you guys have this phone and if you do, do you like it? im 13 and I really want 1. do you guys think I'm 2 young. I go over 2 frends houses a lot, and I go 2 a lot...

of schol basketball games and stuff, and I think I need one just in case for emergencies, and 2 find rides home and stuff. do you think im 2 young?

You know...generations before you got along just fine without a cellphone...it's a priviledge to have, but these days, kids are acting like it's their right.

My 15 year old doesn't have a cellphone, and she won't get one until she gets a job and has money to purchase it herself and pay her own bills.

With a cellphone, comes responsibility - you have to pay the bill. I don't think any parent should be held responsible for that.

So, until you're ready to pay your own bills, you're too young...it's not about age, it's about maturity.

I think you are old enough to get your own self phone as long as you desirve it.

Cellphones are something we all need incase of emergencies.

I think you'd be fine with a pay-as-you-go cellphone, do they have those there?
I definitely don't think you're old enough to have a phone plan that's for sure because there is no way a 13-year-old could afford that. When I was your age I had a pay-as-you-go one and I only had to put like $10 a month on it which I used from my allowance.

at 13 I would say no
most kids dont need a cellphone
they have no need or reson to get one
there not toys that you can text your friends with all the time
tehey cost money
sending things costs money
and at a young age theres no need to be talking to your friends when youll see them tomorrow at school anyway
if its for calling your pqarents if you go somewere, and keeping if for emergencies then yes thats fine
but if not, its just pointless
and its teaching you all about this new technology at such a young age
and forces you to grow up quicker than you should
13 year old should be hanging out with there friends
they shouldnt be calling and texting there friends on a mobile phone when there going to see them tomorror

just kidding I got my first phone when I was 11 im 13 now and life's still goood!(and I have an ipod-touch)!! yaay me!!!
