Am i strange...

im 18, I dont have a license, I've never worked, but im a full time college student, when I tell people I dont drive they look at me strange and ask why. to be honest, driving was never very appealing to me, most teens were all like omg I cant wait to...

drive! I dont care about it really, I prefer walking places most of the time. the worst part is, I only went once to try for my permit and failed. then I never went back. but since im 18 I can just go right for the license, I guess I might this month, but I wouldnt have a car to myself anyway..I usually get to go where I want so driving is no big deal. and as for the job, not once yet have my parents told me I have to work, and when I mention that I want one, they tell me how they dont want me to, I dont understand how they think sometimes, but am I strange for all of this?

For not having a drivers license? Not at all : ) My sister is 27 and she doesn't have one, that doesn't make her strange. Some people have never driven a car in their life (For eg. my nan and my auntie) and they aren't strange. If you enjoy walking to get were you want to go then you do that! :D I don't want to learn to drive until I'm at least 20+ and my friend are the same. So no, your not strange at all

You're not strange - nothing wrong with walking and your parents obviously don't want time taken away from your studies - they want the best for you...I wish you every success !!

My girlfriend doesn't have a license an she's 18. And in NZ you can go for your license at 15... I actually find it a lot more common in girls not to have a license because they just never really cared for it.

No. I do not have a driver's license, and I am eighteen. Your friends probably react that way because they are not used to knowing someone your age without a driver's license.
