Am I pregnant?

Im 19 years old and I have a 15 month old daughter. We have been trying to have another one, we already have the nursery and everything set up! I don't expect my period until 5 more days ( jan 20th) but for the last 4 days I have been feeling sick and moody. I feel so sick to my stomach sometimes I run to the bathroom thinking im going to throw up, but I haven't very many times ( only about 3-4 times)

My question is how soon does morning sickness show up normaly? With my daughter I have a very strange preganancy I kept having my period until I was about 4 months along and morning sickness didnt hit until about 3 1/2 months. I have been told by my dr that every pregnancy is different and I agree. I am only worried because my last pregnancy was very hard on me and my daughter was born 3 months early. although she was very very healthy at birth ( 7p 7 oz 21 inches long) So what should I do? go see the dr? he refuses to do a blood test he will only do urine although it took 3 1/2 months with my last pregnancy and he knows that he has been my dr for the last 6 years.. is it also time for a new dr?

Most cases of morning sickness start between the 4th and 6th week of pregnancy and lasts until the 14th to 16th week. An easy way to calculate this would be 5 or 6 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period.

You should definitely see a doctor since you could be farther along. If he refuses a blood test try a pregnancy clinic, I'm sure they would give you a blood test. As for actual prenatal care you may want to stay with the same health care provider.

all I have to say is that im 89% sure your pregnet because thats how it starts!

id get a new doctor your old one sounds like a twit. yoru right every pregnancy is diferent and sometimes its the knowing you are really pregnant that brings on emotional stress which makes the morning sickness worse. it is usually after 4 weeks closer to the 6 week mark that sickness starts but it depends on how much hormone action you have. good luck doll

thanks everyone. I havnt taken a test yet, I have met with a few doctors and I think I may have found a new one. I like him. He was very nice and understood ( and actually listend) when I asked questions and everything. Well my period isnt suppose to be here for another 2 days... so we will find out. Im keeping my fingers crossed! ... but if not... Its ok maybe next time.
