Am i imagining?

Shark Atack Asked by funadvice about 1 year ago, 15 answers.

Ok this happened to me just last year. My family are christians and we believe in god. I told this to my mum this and she said im imagining it. Please read this its long but I want to know what happened.

I woke up fine and we have school that day but...

I didnt felt like going. As I got up I went to look for my mother to tell her I dont want to go, my mum called me into the computer room that mornig it was 7:30 she asked me if I can put bullet points on her work. As I was putting bullet points in her work everything suddenly went black. I wasnt panicking I was just standing there silently then this yellow-ish light appeared in front of me, it gets bigger as it got closer to me. I walked towards the figure and then suddenly I was in it.

Everything was in goldy yellow colour. I saw this man standing a few feet away from me talking to this other man who was so big that I could only see his hand and feet- this man was sitting down. I keep noticing this smaller man looking and pointing at me. I heard him say my name three times but I didnt heard what they were talking about. I stood where I was I didn't move or touch anything. I looked to my left and I saw loads of people dancing, talking and singing then the big man on the chair called my name I looked at him but didn't saw his face, I saw the smaller man looking at me. Then the man on the chair pointed at something I looked at what he was pointing, then I started to hear my mums voice; she was crying and praying at the same time, then I saw what the big man was pointing at he was pointing at my mum and I saw her carrying me in her arms in the computer room. Then my eyes suddnly open, I was in my mothers arm, she was still crying I asked her what happened and she said I collapse and hit my head on the shelf and the wall. I smiled cause all my life I only wanted my mum to show me she really cares for me. Then my arm started to hurt and my head at the same time.

I didn't went to school after that for 2 days but when I was feeling better I told my mum what happened and she said im just making it up and imagining it she didn't believe me or my brothers. Could this smaller man be Jesus and this big man God???
I always told god I wanted to see heaven when I was a kid but did I just went to heaven that day? Was this smaller man Jesus asking God to give me another chance to live?? please help me understand this I've been a believer since I was a kid and now im 15 I havn't been baptised yet I want to but my dad wont let me be baptised in the church were going to cause he used to be a pastor and I think he wants to baptise me instead. Thanks for you help and im sorry if this is way too long!

Just a guess but your interpretation may be correct - from what I understand, Jesus talks to God on our behalf (intermediary) - He allowed you to see that - He has a special purpose for your life - of course incidents like this we'll not really understand or know until we get to Heaven - so all I'm saying, I think it's possible...Take care !!

I hate to sound anticlimatic, but here's what most likely happened to you: you hit your head and lost consciousness. While unconscious, a series of neuron firings and other chemical reactions in your brain produced a series of mental images through association (the brain's most powerful tool). Gradually, you retained consciousness, and those images became more closely tied to what was happening around you, as often happens when people wake from a dream.

Hard to say whether you had a near-death experience, but it definately sounds like something similar to one. Again, that's the scientific explanation for what probably happened to you. I'm not here to offer a spiritual interpretation.

Your experience sounds like a reaction to brain trauma or some type of seizure. I'm glad you are ok.

You should really get batized girly,,, and honestly if you were met by god and jesus in heaven you would have no doubts because of tyhe sense of pesace and love would be flowing all over the place no one has to believe you if it really happened it happened only you can know and if you want the answwer talk to God get up early or when ever you have alone time spend it with him I think its really important that you have a relationship with him

I do feel like its all real but my mum told me I was imagining it that let me down w/ the whole idea... I felt happy when I was there like I wanted to join them but I felt like I dont belong there at that time... I cant really remember but there was this man who came towards me and smiled, it felt like I know him, but everything were blurry when he came up to me that I couldnt see or recognise him and at that time I didnt feel worried what was going to happen to me.

It sounds like the whole experience was positive.

1. You remember it vividly, a year later.
2. You have an idea of what you believe it means.
3. The part of only being able to see the bottom part of the big man, seems significant, since the bible says that no one has ever seen God.
4. You were not afraid, in fact, you went toward the figures.
5. The fact that your mom was both crying and praying, shows great empathy.
6. Your very first reaction afterwards was one of joy... of seeing the love and care in your mother, in the vision, and in real life, as you were truly in her arms.
7. After your initial response of joy, then... and only then... you felt the pain.

I would hold onto this the way you perceived it. I see nothing negative about it, and the message that it brought, brought a measure of relief to your thinking.

Has your mothers attitude toward you changed since then?

Are you closer?

My guess is that your mother didn't bond with her mother, and even though she was probably loved, some people seem to be frozen, in the fact that they can't show love.

Try to not hold this against her, and pray that God will remove the hindrances that keep her from showing you the love that you need.

This is some kind of emotional block, that has been passed down to her, I would imagine.

My guess is that she loves you terribly, even if she can't show it, and you can't feel it.

Prayer can bridge this gap.

It can heal the wounds that are there, on both sides.

We all need to be complete, Jesus can bring this.

It sounds to me, like the process has begun.

I think you will see some changes.

Keep praying.

And I think it would be wonderful for your father to baptize you, in fact, I can't see it happening any other way, given the fact that he was a preacher.

I think that is precious, and I can surely see why he would want to.

I wouldn't let anything keep him from doing exactly that.

Here is a link for annointed prayer, if you want to send in a request:

wjcr.org click on prayer. they will not respond, but they will pray.

Father, I pray that you will show this young girl, if this vision was what she thinks it was, clear up the confusion, and help her with the problem. Touch her mother, and bring healing to that area of her life, release her ability to show love to her daughter, and heal the pain that is within, for both of them. Unite them in love, that is from you.
What ever happened to her father, to cause him to no longer be a pastor, please touch him and restore what Satan tried to take from him. Heal the wounds that he may carry. Deliver him from evil. Use him for your glory. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

God bless you ... (((hugs)))

This sounds like temporal lobe epilepsy. You should probably see a doctor.

I think it's human nature to want to feel special and have some type of special revelation like this. But science shows us that everything has a natural cause. It doesn't make you any less of a person because this experience was natural rather than supernatural. In fact, it means you are fully a part of the human community.

If you have another episode like this, please do consider seeing a doctor. Best wishes.

The only advise I can give you is to pray about it.

Many people have had similar visions. I believe that it was real.

First things first, have you found what caused you to pass out (faint)? If not, have you been checked to see if you are or are borderline diabetic? Three possibilities for your faint come to my mind and each of them can be serious if not attended to: Diabetes, epilepsy and Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA, Mini-Stroke).

One other possibility that readily comes to mind is that as a growing teenager you may have experienced one common trait of growing which is: If you suddenly stand up or have been standing for a period of time, particularly with your knees locked, your blood fails to adequately supply your brain so your brain causes you to faint which causes you to fall to a prone position which allows your brain to start receiving adequate blood supply again.

As to what you experienced while unconscious, the brain often attempts to meld our conscious experiences while we are unconscious/sleeping. Naturally it attempts to deal with our latest experiences and tries to compute them based upon the knowledge we have fed it during our life.

In your case your brain was reacting to a situation that it was not familiar with and based its computations upon your Christianity based upbringing and your mother's love for you. In general, I think your subconscious was trying to communicate to you that you would be alright.
