Am I anorexic?

My dad wants me to be put in hospital as he says am anorxic as I don't eat much I have a bmi like17.5 im 5-4 but am scared as I don't want to go am really scared

Don't be scared. Your dad is simply looking out for your best interests.

If you are anorexic the hospital staff will be able to give you some guidance on a proper diet.

You may have subconscious emotional problems that are causing you to think that you are healthy when you really aren't.

Give your dad a chance, he really cares about you.

I don't know BUT you SHOULD EAT a lot OF FOOD

its ither now or later sis...depends what you want. I have worked in the dance industry for years and have seen many of my students, and friends go through this. Its not pretty, and if you get help now, it will be less severe and life altering than later. waiting till it get worse will only make it harder and make your body accumulate more fat after. so what do you want? your dad loves you but YOU should love you too. be thankful and get yourself some help. its going to take the proper attitude to get through this. you will need to wake up everyday and choose that attitude, otherwise living with this is very lonely, and miserable. its like a fatal weed. if its left unattended...it will take over. hope you help yourself by making the right choice. I challenge you to be healthy!!! be a leader by example...make your parents and yourself proud

anorexia is an eating disorder. it isnt when you dont want to eat.

Lots of people dont understand and just say 'Eat and you wont be put in hospital' etc but that is easier said than done. With an eating disorder its hard...you want to eat because your so hungry and you like food...its just, you dont want to put on weight or make yourself look bad...

Maybe you need some help...ask your dad if he can get you a counceller or smething instead of going into hospital...they are ok you know...I see a counceller as I have a slight eating disorder

Tell your dad you want help but not in this sort of way by going to hospital, maybe he will understand and will be ok with it.

to be honest ethmer I thankyou for your advice but if my dad wants the best for me he would keep me home safe with him

I no how much do you eat if you dont mind me asking ? I tired to tell him but he wont listen he think im looking for a way out which I am in a way but I gota go hospital in a min =(

I do not eat much either, but it is just because when I am not hungry I don't eat, but when I am hungry I do eat and it doesn't take much to fill me up for some reason, but it has always been like that and sometimes my parents do question and ask if I am alright, and I say yeh because I am fine and I am not anorexic either.

how can I convience my dad I dont have to be here?
