You're not fat at all. The average for the women in the US is a 14. I'm 5'5 and 170. Although I just had a baby, my pre-pregnancy weight was about 140-150 (I don't have a scale). Also, I'm in the military and work out a lot.
Before I joined the military I was 120 and a size 4. I didn't look healthy nor did I feel healthy. I feel great now and thats all that matters when it comes to your weight. If you are in a healthy range for your BMI and you FEEL GOOD thats all that you should care about. Your mom is vain and your friend is absolutely right.
you should not worry too much about being fat. it is quite possible that ou are overweight but it is very hard to tell with the information given. if you are really sreios about this then you should get a body fat percentage test. if you exercise a lot and are very musculer then you are probably not fat at all. if you do dicede that you need to loose weight then you should eat as many small meals in the day as you can. mad sure that they are healthy. cut out any exess sugar. most importantly drink lots of water, it really helps. another really good thing to do is try to build a ltiile muscle. for every 1 lb of muscle I think that you actually burn 60 calories. do not quote me on that though. do not worry to much about your weight though because you are still young.

Your not fat honey you're just curvy. I saw your picture it just looks like a matter of bodytype. But if you'd like to lose weight just eat healthier, and maybe to a few minor excersices. It really pays off over time.
