Am i an emo ?

My fringe in my hair is too one side and far qite far over, I listen to fall out boy, Patd etc. Does this mean ic ome uner the terms as an emo ?

how many times...EMO IS A MUSIC GENRE. you can't BE music, just like music cant be U. you can base your life around it, but you are still U. Labels are what makes our society so close minded, because then everyone can just go ew, emo or ew jock and so on and so forth, and all that does is limit urself to who you can talk to, who you can be friends with, and so on and so forth. Be U. Don't be an emo, don't be a jock, or prep, or nerd, just be U.

Don't label yourself, stereotyping isn't good. Just be yourself and your good to go.

emo is defined by cutting your wrist and wanting to die if you do that then ya I guess your emo!

I wear a lot of black, listen to a lot of rock, and evrybody in school calls me emo. but they can all go scratch their as*es. emo is a kind of music, not a lifestyle. your not emo unless you say so.

U are whatever you want to be... emo, is just a word used for music... I agree you shouldnt label urself. I dont and it works alright for me. I talk to everyone at school, no matter how thay dress

Ok just to clear everything up, emo is not a label or a music style. It's being to emotionally depressed that can led to cutting or hurting your self. Thats why its called emo, its short for EMOtional. Not wanting to die, because that would make you suicidal. Most people think its a label because most of the people that cut themselves dress in black because its a dull color and bright colors just dont make them happy. As for music, the reason why they call it emo is because it has emo lyrics. For example saying they want to cut their wrist or black their eyes. Hawthorn heights everybody lol. And sweetie just because your hair goes to the side and you listen to fall out boy doesnt not make you emo. Not even close. I have two friends who are considered emos and their both cheerleaders. And their reason is because they cut themselves. So until your so emotionally hurt that you feel the need to feel pain rather than be depressed and sad, then you can call urself emo. Until then, your considered a FAKE!!!

and labeling isnt nice people dont like it and wont be happy with it
