Am I an alcoholic?

I drink every weekend friday night and saturday night
and I drink in the morings on school days to wake up
I always come home drunk
or really hungover, my mom has always asked me about it
she thinks I drink to much
I don;t now if its bad
but sometimes I drink alone!!
and some of my friends have asked me the same thing
I took a bunch of tests on the internet to see if I really was
and they told me I was
I dont know what to do

please help

There's nothin wrong wit socially like wit your friends or if your partyin but if your drinkin to go to school dats over doin it... bad things come wit drinkin too much... it's gettin to the point where your not drinkin to have fun you should slow down and also your mom allows you to drink?

your school should have some sort of programs to help you...

try figuring out why you need to drink that much... yes by now it has become a physical addiction, but there's probably some other emotional/mental reasons behind it...

also be very careful, withdrawl can be deadly (or so my friend keeps informing me) and honestly if you need to drink to get going during the day, your body has probably hit the point where it would be dangerous to quit cold turkey without someone looking after you... so however you stop you need to make sure it is done under some sort of supervision...

Hi, First, let me tell you that I am an alcholic. I now have 26 years. clean and sober.Only you, can say if you really are an alcholic. One good way to make that decision, is to go to a few A.A. meetings. Look in the phone book, call the area service office, and they will tell you where a meeting is. A.A. is not a cult or anything like that. It is a way to help you live life without using mind altering chemicals. You will meet all types and ages of people. From early teens to old folks.
Give it a shot. Don't just say, Yeah, Right. You may be pleasantly suprised. Has worked for me for 26 years. , one day at a time. Good luck.

I know it's not as easy as it sounds to just stop, but think about all the consequences of it every time you pick up that bottle or can.

I'm the same way. You don't have anything to worry about. My parents don't know I drink. As long as you don't get caught who cares rite? But if you WANT to stop just keep your mind focused on other things. and avoid situation that makes you want to drink.
