I think the basic premise of being a vegetarian is that you dont eat meat. So you're not a vegetarian. It sounds like you're just a picky eater (which I suppose is fine too...)
I don't think your a vegetarian. you still eat meat vegetarians don't. just like ty said sounds like you are just a picky eater but there's nuttin wrong with that I am too.
It wont let me edit this, so I am just adding this to my answers column...I did forget to add that fish is fine.. I can eat that and be fine!! So pretty much I just cant eat red meats and sometime I cant eat chicken!!
lol. good answer ty.
Perhaps a picky eater on her way to becoming a vegetarian. That is how it started for me. I started to feel gross about some of the meat I was served. Started with steak, felt gross chewing and went from there. I do admit that I can still choke down seafood on occasion.
My friend cooks the BEST shrimp and crab boil. But I eat that rarely and no other meat, not beef, pork or chicken. Just remember to eat other protein sources if you stop the meat.
actually some vegans depending on what type they are do eat meat... I know they dont eat red meat, but I do believe some can eat chicken and I know some can eat fish...
no, your not. you just dont like to eat meat. like, I cant eat chicken off the bone, I have to make my dad take the chicken off the bone for me. I cant even do tat. but im not a veggie. I just cant do that. just like you!

Actually vegans are stricter in their diets than vegetarians...
vegan (n.) A vegetarian who eats plant products only, especially one who uses no products derived from animals, as fur or leather.
This is what wiki has to say
Vegan diets (sometimes called strict or pure vegetarian diets) are a subset of vegetarian diets. Veganism is a philosophy and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind. The most common reasons for becoming a vegan are ethical commitment or moral convictions concerning animal rights, the environment, human health, and spiritual or religious concerns. Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources required for animal farming.
wow... didn't think I would get so many responces!! lol.. this is great...I guess everyone is right... as for amoeba's comment.. that is exactly what happend! once day I was eating steak and it started to taste gross and felt gross going down, I had to stop eatting it, and now its happening to chicken!!! do you know why that happends??? I feel like I am crazy or something! I mean it could mean I am a pickey eatter, but I think its kind of weird for that to occur out of the blue!!
this is a site listing the 6 types of vegetarians.. this is what I am talking about... I know a vegan is one of the six types.. I was just wondering if I were one of the types or if you could be a semi- type of vegetarian... anyway thanks everyone!

Well, you could be a vegetarian that eats meat. lol.
Do you just want the label? because if you eat meat, you aren't a vegetarian, but I looked at the site and I guess by that you would be a semi-vegetarian.
I know there's one kind of vegetarian where they don't eat dairy at all. I forget the name, but obviously you're not that kind. You're just a normal vegetarian. That's okay; my mom doesn't eat any red meat but she eats turkey meat, fish, other seafood, and occasionally even chicken if it's REALLY good.
There are many kinds of vegetarians.
'I know there's one kind of vegetarian where they don't eat dairy at all.'
that would be a vegan lol. wooow. vegans DON'T EAT MEAT! and now people are saying some vegetarians eat meat? that's not a vegetarian, dear. they just want the label.
yeah it kinda sounds like you just want the label. sorry if I'm wrong I'm not trying to be mean or anything. technically there's no semi-vegetarian.
you either eat meat or don't. lol there's not much in between [unless you're comparing diff. types of vegetarians] there are some kinds of vegetarians that eat fish. I think it's lame cause I'm against animal cruelty but that's just my opinion.
Actually there is a vegetarian that does not consume dairy or eggs but they are not vegan. they call themselves lacto-ovo vegetarians.
Vegetarianism is a joke, if the person knows why vegans are vegans. They must not care for animals enough to stop paying for and consuming things that cause animals to go thru torture even though they arent directly eating them.
and yeah how the hell is there a 'semi-vegetarian'???
what the f*ck
That's some amazing bullsh*t.
that would just be a person who doesn't eat fish or chicken and beef or pork etc.
pft jeez.
Thank you everyone for your help! I think I just like what I like and I don't like what I don't like! I spoke to a nutritionist and she helped me out A LOT with how I should be eating and what I need to do if I were to substitute! I will not become a vegan, but I do not like red meat so I just go around that in my diet… I am going to have a nutritious healthy diet with regular meats and/or a substitute depending on what it is and I will be happy! I was feeling so dizzy, tired, and weak all of the time because I wasn’t having enough protein (meat, cheese, beans, etc)… so that and not eating my meals at the right times, the right amounts, or the right combinations of food! You are actually supposed to have protein with every meal, even with snacks! So again, thank you everyone for your help!

You're just a picky eater. I was vegetarian for a while but when I got home I ate regular because I was living with mom and ate meat and it made me sick for 2 weeks.

Am I a vegetarian, if so what kind?
Send me Fun Mail
Well... last night I was eating dinner and I had come to realize that I was forcing myself to eat the piece of chicken that I had on my plate!! Actually the smell of the chicken was getting me kind of sick! I noticed that if it’s not all fancied up like boneless buffalo chicken or some kind of white meat like turkey with gravy I cant eat it!!! I can tolerate some ham though with out any fat on it! I definitly CAN NOT EAT any red meat at all.. I don’t like burgers, hotdogs, sausage, or anything like that! Eggs and dairy are ok though!! What I was wondering is does that make me some kind of vegetarian!??? I know there are sooo many different kinds, but I would just like to know if I am one? Well thanks for helping me out if you can!!
