How do y'all think this world was brought about?

no more wine, silly bear. Asked by mreow 4 months ago, 34 answers.

Okay! This is just words my brain is spewing out, so try to make sense of my rants!

So how do y'all think this world was brought about? I'm not very sure about the whole god thing played out, even though I am christian. But. If he made adam and eve, and...

they were the first... Who made him? I know it's such a huuuge question, but I've been wondering this forever, and my uncreative mind cannot sum up an answer for this either!
Has anyone heard of that theory that says there was more before us, but it was just completely wiped out. I mean, totally different world. I'm not too sure about that either.
This is a pretty sucky question, just want to hear your thoughts!

Thanks!

freefromself, what am I suppose to do with this? 'reasonable truth'? If it is based on reason, then there must be something to base that reason on? If you make a claim that there are fossils that TOTALLY negate evolutionary theories, then it is up to you to provide the evidence of them.

Regardless of the mechanism, evolution has occurred. The fossil records are quite clear. We have observed that at the lowest strata of the earth's crust there is no evidence of life at all. As you move closer to the surface the first single cell organisms are found, and the closer we get to the the surface the more complex they become. This is fact, not theory. They know exactly the chronolgy of life development on this planet. What other explanation beside evolution of simple life to more complex life could there be, other than some supernatural force (satan) planting the evidence there to trick us? If you want to believe that, fine. But don't claim it is based on reason..

hmm im afraid I find it really hard to believe that god created all of this because as you said, who created him? I think the big bang theory is what I would say is most likely but I still wonder and me and my dad have hour long discussions about it often XD

reminds me of the Knowing. If you've watched that movie you'd get a new outlook on the whole perception. I mean I don't believe that there are angelic aliens out there who witness and know what going on in the world, but it give you a complete new option. I thought it was a silly yet creative way to express themselves.

and I myself believe in the big bang theory. Athiest all the way.

hmm thats a good question...
I've wondered about that too.
I think that theory is a good one and very possible.
or maybe life on another planet died out or something and God came to Earth and started a new life
who knows.
thats a great question

oh... and elements have always been around. there is no need to actually create these things. everthing is made out of an element. an elemental composition is what created big bang, due to heat and everything...

Least thats what I think.

A while ago I had this creepy thought, please dont call me crazy. Here it is: would if everything is just a memory that us humans have better memory than we are given credit for. Maybe the term 'life fashing before my eyes' is true in a big way.

I'm not religous, I mean I don't want to spend time learning all these dif things and chooseing one, anyways, all this stuff confuses me also, thats why I don't want to have to think about it, if you do think about it, if it was anything else you most likely wouldnt believe iti mean someone had to write the bible and back then there were no hosbitols or anything, so who knows maybe its true (I do doubt it, but im not going to try to change your mind) or maybe it was some crazy guy, no one knows... I think it was meant to be that way if anything was meant to be a certain way...

i cant remember where this is from.lol. Answered by realreality on Jul 06, 2009, 01:22AM

ya im with you. I think up of many random ideas as to how we possibly got here. but the truth is,we probably will never find out. and frankly I dont think it would be good to find out. like waht if it was found out that the earth and humans were actually created by the whole Big Bang thing and Evolution.? that would throw every religions belief down the drain. that would cause global chaos the whole god creating earth and man thing, would all have been proven wrong. what happens then. but I doubt we'll learn anything of that sort in our life time. I personally believe in the whole scientific stuff, with all the Big bang and Evolution and such. its just hard to believe that god created absolutley everything. ya. so thats what I think. Good questionhappy

The earth and solar system were created from the cosmic material following the big bang. Life eventually began, and evolved into the teeming biological mix we have now.

Will lets see.I've ponder over that question aswell, what I have come to that you mentioned who created GOD?,maybe god is the beginning of the meaning of
beginning I know it's complex I think about questions like this one aswell.
You know it's amazing that Humans are able to even know any of these questions.
One day we will all know the answers but untill then you our on the right track, yes
something created everything we know. Keep the Faith and go yo Church which by
the way shows respect to Jesus and study the Bible it will keep you out of trouble.

big bang yes, or even the claps theory(2 parallel universes colliding to make this one)
though those were supposedly the beginning of this universe, space has always been. Things as always been in existence without an beginning or end.

1. How did we come about?

God created us.

2. Who created him?

No one. God is outside of time. Time was created when God created this universe (time, space and matter). Therefore GOD DID NOT HAVE A BEGINNING.

3. The Big Bang

Many people have vouched for the Big bang as what created the Big bang. Well they have to answer this following questions then:

What created the bib bang?

You either to accept that there is infinite regression of creation in some form, or accept that something exists uncreated.

Religious people will tend to say god created it, and accept that God just exists uncreated. Secular people tend to say reality simply exists uncreated...you know, eliminate the middle man.

Good question mrawr, our ancient ancestors didn't have scientific abilities for inquiry so they came up with mythology to explain their origins and phenomena they didn't understand.

Since then we have inquired extensive knowledge about the world and universe and are able to explain it through science.

A star is born from an interstellar cloud of gas that contracts under its own gravity, causing heat and pressure till coalescing in a sphere shape. The process leaves access gas that condenses and revolves around the star, and if not absorbed will give rise to solar systems.

Earth formed out of the accretion of matter that revolved around the sun after it's formation. As the earth collected enough debris, till it became large enough to have its gravitational force pull it into a sphere, it became a planet. How the earth got to where it is today is a subject of geology.

The earlier conditions of the young Earth allowed for simple organisms to develope that evolved and adapted into more complex creatures over millions of years.

***our ancient ancestors didn't have scientific abilities for inquiry so they came up with mythology to explain their origins and phenomena they didn't understand.***

Our ancestors didn't have as much scientific abilities as people today. But as far as the Bible neither is it a mythology nor was it cooked up by someone. Our ancestors had enough abilities to record with great accuracy what they heard and saw and what was revealed to them by God.

***A star is born from an interstellar cloud of gas that contracts under its own gravity, causing heat and pressure till coalescing in a sphere shape. ***

The question here is how we came about. This however is only a theory and has not been observed.

***Earth formed out of the accretion of matter that revolved around the sun after it's formation. ***

Again no one observed how the earth had formed. It is not correct to make such positive statements as this when what is being stated is only a theory.

***The earlier conditions of the young Earth allowed for simple organisms to develope that evolved and adapted into more complex creatures over millions of years.***

Again another theory. To days people have scientific abilities for inquiry and so they came up with what can be called modern mythology.

eternallymisinformed, didn't you have enough of this subject already? Yes it is 'only a theory'. So is gravity. As has been explained to you already, a scientific hypothosis only becomes a theory when it has been tested, re-tested, re-tested again, peer-reveiwed, and has an overwhelming consensus in favor of. And you want us to compare that method to an ancient text written by superstitious men.

Give it up already, you are embarassing yourself.
