Age of people in the olympic gymnastics

Asked by sahsasia about 1 year ago, 6 answers.

Im sirena and I've been doing gymnastics since I could do the splits (age 5) and it is only now that I've wondered how old you have to be to be in the olympics.

You have to at least turn 16 during the calendar year of the Olympics, so you can actually be 15 and compete in gymnastics.

ethmer's right. and if you've been watching there's some controversy over the age of about 3 of the chinese gymnasts. one's said to really be as young as 13.
