How does funadvice decide on advisors?

if they're ranked high by other users, or give really good advice

can they be recommended?

ask an advisor about protocol. personally, I think it's great that they do it, I do, you need people to 'police' in effect, but I'm not sure, I'd feel like I would have to hold my tounge as such...not that I loose it (often) but I have that freedom...

guess it's like being a prefect and you get to use to prefect bathroom, there's a 'group' only the advisors are allowed access to, that would be the only tempting bit lol!

Well sometimes people can ask to be advisors, then the admin go over their answers and decide whether to promote them, sometimes if the member has really good advice the admin will notice and ask the person whether they want to become an advisor. In general there are a couple of important things they look at... clear, consistent helpful answers, good spelling and good grammar.
