I also feed Canidae...well, actually a 1/2 and 1/2 mix of Canidae and Evo...The minute I made this switch 2 years ago, my GSD quit itching, and his coat has been shiny and soft...My little terrier also seems to do well, on this.
More expensive isnt' necessarily better...there are dog food charts on the in the internet that are 'rated' by nutrition...Costco's Kirkland Premium Lamb and Rice, is only $20.00 for 40 lbs...yet it's got a 110 point rating...very high...Canidae is also resonable...
Try and stay away from products with corn, wheat, and soy...and go for products that where at least the first two ingredients in the list are meat products.

well what kind are you gving them? I recomend purina or pedigree they both helped me get my puppies back in shape..
I give them IAM dry food now, but I've heard it's not that good.
I use Canidae chicken and rice formula, it is a very high quality food that my dogs have done very well on. The price is reasonable, I pay $18.00 per 20 lb bag and the company is great, they have a single processing plant. I had just switched right before all of the dog food recalls happened last year and I have never been happier with a decison. If you go on Canidae.com, there is a srore locator, not all pet stores sell it, the smaller independant stores usually carry it, none of the major chains do. You can also order it online through many sites.
I use Purina Puppy Chow for my puppies. We have used it all my life for puppies and have always done well. That is what my Vet recommends also.
As for your dogs, before I would suggest a food. I would want to know how old your dogs are and what breed?
science diet is what I give my dog its made him healthier.
