Daisies are Amazing Asked by fade_out about 1 year ago, 7 answers.

I have a ' Peeling lip ' issue where I can't wear Lipstick without that Ugly Peeling look to it! I've tried just about everything. Lip fusions, Chapsticks, just a lot a stuff.

What would be your best recommendation for COnstant Peels?/

Thanks so...

much! I would love to wear Lipstick again!

lol... I have this problem sometimes.

exfoliate your lips. you can do this with some sugar or baking soda. rub it on your lips and then use a tooth brush to rub all the old skin cells off. then rinse off. afterward, use chapstick. I'm talking old school chapstick. not gloss. not fusions. not lipstick. chapstick.

also, at bath and body works they have what is called a lip buffer by co. bigelow. it's basically the same thing as my home remedy...only their's smells like mint.

oh...and once your lips heal...you should wear chapstick under your lipstick...because lipstick is often so darn dry.

You might find that one particular lipstick is doing the damage. I usually buy $6 lipsticks and got talked into buying some darn $17 thing that tastes like perfume. It feels nice on my lips because it's so soft and full of moisture, but the next day, my lips are peeling and cracked. Back to my $6 varieties happy

I have had peeling lips all my life even without lipstick. It's just a case of constant exfoliation and moisturizing. I mean like every day.

yeah, I use this Special SPF 30 Face Sunblock stick. You can use it anywhere on your face, neck, And Lips. It Does help for a little while...until I put on my favorite lipstick.

Is there anything I can use to apply on my lips, then use lipstick over it?
Something to protect my lips from the over exposure to lipstick?
I wonder why lipstick causes my lips to peel so badly. ..
