not against as in adversary, but rather every day worries or concerns. When an old man goes on a shooting rampage at the Holocaust museum in D.C, when the flu is
declared pandemic, when you hear of people losing everything they own; do you feel thankfully you have an advocate on your side? No offense taken
you mean as compared to the millions of people who live in abject poverty which I can see from my house in east africa? (I.e. the image you have on your post), no I dont feel glad. I am assured that if there is a God, that God cannot be an active God, because no good God would allow millions of people to starve to death, to watch their kids starve and be helpless about it... Perhaps if you actually lived above a slum (and a real slum, not a slum which has running water, and actual walls), you wouldnt be so quick to say that God has a reason for condemning people who have done absolutely nothing wrong
no I don't mean compared tothe millions of people who live in abject poverty which I can see from my house in east africa? All manner of evil (NOT of G-d)
*** no I dont feel glad. *** What person would?
A loving God will allow man to live according to the path he has chosen and is waiting for
the sake of nonbelievers to WIN THE DAY
The question was answered by christinversion honestly enough
You And Me Against The World
You and me against the World
Sometimes it feels like..You and me against the World
When all the others turn their backs and walk away,
you can count on me to stay.
Remember when the Circus came to Town...
and you were frightened by the clown,
wasn't it nice to be around someone that you knew?
Someone who was big and strong and looking out for you and me
Against the World
Sometimes it feels like you and me against the World
and for all the times we cried,
I always felt that God was on our side
And when one of us is gone,
and one of us is left to carry on
Then remembering will have to do
Our Memories alone will get us through
Think about the days of me and you,
You and Me against the World
And when one of us is gone,
and one of us is left to carry on
Then remembering will have to do...
Our Memories alone will get us through
Think about the days of Me and You...

If you don't feel you have that relationship with the creator- then you don't
That's fine
btw I spent most of my youth in underprivileged region of the world. I saw dead
on the streets when I was only 5 years. old. God condemned none of them. And my
G-d is at all times loving and benevolent with or without running water. Poverty and
and death are of the enemy I say, only time will tell who's fell and left behind-so
you go your way and I'll go mine. Go with blessings
A loving God will allow man to live according to the path he has chosen
I'm sorry, are you saying they chose that? or that poverty and death are not caused by God, but wealth and life are? so God is not almighty then? how can you have it both ways? an all powerful God controls all or controls nothing, or is not all powerful...
originally man chose to go it his way, without life everlasting, without everything provided, a time when they walked and talked in the proverbial garden created to provide for His creation. God in His infinite wisdom built into the equation a way out of the man/woman's error. A way of escape from the miseries and grief and a return to
harmony in close relationship was first promised and then manifested in a Savior.
Messiah came to break the hold the enemy had and paid the full price for our liberation,
but the reign of the prince of the power of air is not over. Therefore there is still
suffering. God does control destiny of all. He however, is wanting that as many as
would, trust in Him and choose to love Him in return . Satan is the great accuser
of God and the brethren, always making it appear as if God has turned his back on the ones He chases until they catch Him
No, it is impossible to blame the innocent little one's who have no control over their circumstances, but ADONAI will have the last word on the subject. He will gather
from every part of the earth, every faith, background, socioeconomic background etc.
those who have a heart for love and compassion for one another, and start all over
again. Hatred and confusion, misery and death will be swallowed up. Remember
scripture is a good deal metaphor and allegory. Life with the coming one is to be here on a remade world. Everyone will be given (has been given) the freedom to choose whether or not to be a part of it. Christ conquered death once and for all at Calvary and stated:And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be (Rev. 22:12). All I know is if I get what I deserve for all my actions, I may be sorely disappointed. Fortunately, my reward is based on what Christ did and his perfect life without blemish, not mine. When G-d
sees me; He sees His innocent son.
A parent will sometimes hang back and allow a child to make a mistake in order to
guide the child towards ultimate safety. This does not diminish their capacity to love or parent.
Also, a loving parent doesn't condemn their child to eternal torture.
God creates us, knits us together in the womb. He knows what we are what we are to become. The he damns people to hell for not being the way he wants us to be though he's the one who made us. Isn't that a load of bull. He could of saved himself the trouble not made us.
man chose... as did satan the deceiver ... that's the whole point. G-d gave them freedom to choose and then He waited and watched. What followed, G-d had made provision for
How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning...For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.'
Lucifer had wisdom, beauty, musical ability, perfection, and yet he wanted more; he wanted to be worshiped like God. But God does not share His glory, nor does He permit another to receive worship. So before Lucifer had a chance to make his move, he was removed from the presence of God. Cast out of heaven like a bolt of lightning, Lucifer was stripped of his beauty, his position, and his rights to heaven.
Lucifer's name, 'son of the morning,' was given to a far more deserving individual, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is called the 'Bright and Morning Star' (Revelation 22:16). Today, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, dwelling in the presence of the Almighty. Just as Jesus said: whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12). Nowhere does he threaten torture.
Perhaps the most easily misconstrued text about hell is John's allusion to the smoke ascending for ever and ever. For those who are unfamiliar with other uses of this phrase in the Bible, it can be very confusing indeed. But a comparison of verses in both Old and New Testaments reveal that the words for ever are used 57 times in the Bible in reference to something that has already come to an end. In other words, for ever does not always mean without end.
Many notable examples could be cited, but two or three are noteworthy. In Exodus 21, the conditions are laid down concerning the law of servitude. If a servant chose to continue serving the master he loved rather than his freedom when it came due, then his ear was to be pierced with an awl and the Scripture declares, He shall serve him for ever. Verse 6. But how long would that servant serve his human master? Only as long as he lived, of course. So the words for ever did not mean without end. Hannah took her son Samuel to God's temple, where he would there abide for ever. 1 Samuel 1:22. Yet in verse 28 we are plainly told, As long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. The original meaning of the term for ever indicates an indefinite period of time. Generally it defines the period of time in which something can continue to exist under the circumstances prevailing. Even Jonah's stay in the whale's belly is described by him as for ever. Jonah 2:6.
Someone may object that this could also limit the life of the righteous in heaven, because they are described as glorifying God forever. The terms are the same for both the saved and the lost. But there is one tremendous difference in the circumstances involved. The saints have received the gift of immortality. Their life now measures with the life of God. Immortality means not subject to death. The words for ever used in reference to them could only mean without end, because they are immortal subjects already. But when for ever is used to describe the wicked, we are talking about mortal creatures who can die and must die. Their for ever is only as long as their mortal nature can survive in the fire which punishes them according to their works. A loving God yearns to get down to the business of
being with those who love Him. He doesn't damn anybody to hell for not being what
He wants. We choose to refuse His love and dive right in on our own. Sad, really
and this where we get to the point where the answer is unknown, and so the person refuses to answer the question...
man chose. Yes.
Lucifer chose. Yes.
God knows everything ?
So God knew (before creating man and lucifer) what would happen? Yes? You still with me?
So we chose to reject his love, but he knew this, before creating us... so he created us knowing he was condemning us to hell...
Can you please now explain why God created man knowing that man would chose to condemn himself?
Or why God created lucifer knowing what lucifer would do to man?
It's like God set us up for failure... He knew what would happen, and did it anyways...
p.s. I have no issues with an answer of I dont know. I actually respect people who dont pretend to have all the answers.
etyhvh, you take it out of context.
Lucifer was used only once in the bible
Lucifer was originally just a title given to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon.
Isaiah 14:12. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations!
Isaiah is basically stating that Nebuchadnezzar is the brightest star in the sky but being up that high is only setting himself for a great fall.
Listen, the Devil is a good Bible student. Do not fool yourself. Give him credit where it is due. He knows the Bible better than you do. Oh yes, holy men of God wrote as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, but the Devil was looking over their shoulder and memorizing every bit of it. The Devil knows better than we do that every word of the Bible is true. He knows that everything about heaven is true, because he used to live there. He knows that it is just as beautiful and wonderful as the Bible describes it, but he doesn’t want anybody else to believe that. So, he is desperately working to keep people from studying this Book and to keep people off their knees.
many people diligently search the Scriptures, not to find truth, but simply to gather support for their preconceived religious ideas. Their minds are not open to be taught by God's Holy Spirit, and therefore they can manipulate the sacred texts to mean exactly what they want to believe.
One of the great, basic principles of Bible study is to search out the truth on any given subject from all the texts in the Bible. It is literally true that you can prove almost anything you want to prove by using a single, isolated text of Scripture. That is why it is so important to bring together the consensus of what Moses, David, Jesus, Paul and all other inspired authors have to say on the subject. That may involve a hundred or more verses! And even then, there still might be some confusion, because five or six of those hundred texts can always seem to contradict the rest.
So should those half-dozen aberrant verses be discarded since they don't harmonize with the others? No indeed. They should be given special study in the context of surrounding verses, and also in comparison with the 95 which are in agreement. Very quickly it will be discovered that the ambiguity exists only in the mind, and the total Bible picture is in perfect focus and unity.
Someone has said that a text without its context is a pretext, and I believe it. This is particularly true of several strange verses which have been a stumbling block to thousands of earnest Bible students. Under careful scrutiny, however, these problem texts are found to be in harmony with each other and also with the rest of the inspired record.
Once Satan was one of God's leading angels-an archangel called Lucifer meaning Light Bringer, or Morning Star. Note also that stars can symbolize angels in the Bible. Isaiah 14:12-15, How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars (angels) of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit. New King James Version.
Lucifer was not satisfied with his high position as one of the leading angels, he wanted to be a Higher Power than the other angels, like the Most High and sit on a throne. He wanted to be worshiped! Ezekiel reveals more about a king who is obviously Lucifer.
Ezekiel 28:12-17, …take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre and say to him, Thus says the Lord GOD, 'You had the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, the topaz and the diamond; the beryl, the onyx and the jasper; the lapis lazuli, the turquoise and the emerald; and the gold, the workmanship of your settings and sockets, was in you. On the day that you were created they were prepared. (He was created with a covering of incredibly beautiful precious stones.)You were the anointed cherub (a type of angel) who covers, and I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked in the midst of the stones of fire. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you. By the abundance of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and you sinned; therefore I have cast you as profane from the mountain of God. (God cast him out of His Holy Mountain.) And I have destroyed you, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, that they may see you. By the multitude of your iniquities (sins), in the unrighteousness of your trade you profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought fire from the midst of you; it has consumed you, and I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the eyes of all who see you. (yet to come)
Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds, 2 Cor. 11:14-15. We see that Satan and his angels try to appear to be good like angels of light! Satan and his angels deceive people and masquerade as angels still serving God!
So we see that God created a beautiful, blameless angel who was a leader, yet that angel had free will and chose to rebel against God Himself. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you. Ezek. 28:15. His own vanity led him to desire to be worshiped as a Higher Power, and this led to a violent rebellion against God. His evil ways have so influenced our world that Jesus even referred to him as the ruler of this world in John 12:31; 14:30; and said in John 16:11 …the ruler of this world has been judged. This the same ruler who is the author of the suffering we endure, not Nebuchadnezzar.
The judgment upon Satan and his demons will come when Christ returns to this earth with great power, just as we are told in Matthew 24:30-31. And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. And He will send forth His angels with a great Trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Matt. 25:41-46 Then He (Jesus) will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; …. 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. These righteous ones who have been forgiven of their sins because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and have obeyed and served him, will rise from their graves to be rewarded, as we see in 1 Cor.15: 42, 52-55. But the ruler of this world and those who have followed his ways and leadership will face punishment. Satan and his angels, who are immortal beings, will face punishment in the fearsome Abyss. Those humans who have rejected Jesus Christ will face a fiery death, and will miss out on immortality and eternal life. However, since these disobedient people have NOT been given immortality they cannot suffer pain eternally. They will die and be reduced to ashes as foretold in Malachi 4:3, 'You will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,' says the LORD of hosts.
That is a frightening prediction, yet there is encouragement and comfort in what God has in store for those who have turned to Jesus Christ in sincere repentance and obedience. Rev. 21:4 And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. Also see Isaiah. 35:10, And the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
So if we heed what Jesus said, we should be on the winning side. On the last day, Jesus will say to those on His right hand, Come, enter the Kingdom. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was sick and you visited me. Then Jesus will turn to those on His left hand and say, Depart from me because I was hungry and you did not feed me, I was thirsty and you did not give me to drink, I was sick and you did not visit me. These will ask Him, When did we see You hungry, or thirsty or sick and did not come to Your help? And Jesus will answer them, Whatever you neglected to do unto one of these least of these, you neglected to do unto Me!
Still havent answered why God created Lucifer knowing what Lucifer was going to do... You can throw bible scripture at me all day long, I want to know why God created people knowing people would be condemning themselves to hell, and why God created Lucifer knowing Lucifer would tempt man?
It's like me placing candy infront of a bunch of my kids, and then leaving the room knowing my kids are going to take the candy. Then punishing them for eternity. Yes. I really love my kids...
Why has God permitted the devil to rebel, slander and oppose Him all these centuries? God has an ultimate purpose. He surely has a purpose now. He worketh all things after the counsel of His own will, and though we cannot understand His ways which are past finding out, we know Him well enough to know that it is all for the glory of His Son, by whom and for whom all things were created.
The God of the Bible is omniscient. Therefore, He knew the end from the beginning. He foresaw this present evil age and knew that violence was going to fill the earth and that man deceived by Satan was going to be plunged into great wickedness. He could have destroyed Satan before he played havoc with His handiwork; but it was not His will to do so. We can only submit to the will of the infallible God, and see through a glass darkly for the present.
God created all things by Jesus Christ (Eph. 3:9). The Word which became flesh created all things; therefore He must have created the Anointed Cherub, and then became flesh for the purpose of destroying this fallen being and his power over humanity. Lucifer fell because of rebellion and transgression. He fell through pride. He fell from heaven (Luke 10:18; Isa. 14:12-15; Ezek. 28:14-18). He was corrupted by reason of his wisdom and beauty. He was not satisfied with the highest place God could give a heavenly creature. He wanted the Creator's place. He was going to be like the Most High God. The Anointed Cherub was perfect in the day that he was created, and therefore was not created as a sinful creature. All sin entered through the I wills of this being. Again why? Why did not God create him so he could not sin?
We do not know the full history of this wicked one, but we have the record of his origin, course, and destiny. We know that every experience with fallen man with which he is accredited in the Bible corresponds with his dealings with us today, and only those who heed the warnings and take the precautions set forth in that Book can understand his tricks and overcome his power. He was met and conquered in the wilderness by the Son of God, who is the only hope and strength of any individual in his conflict with this mighty foe.
Because the Anointed Cherub in heaven said to God, I Will, the true Anointed, God in human form, drank the cup in the Garden when He said, Thy will be done, and finished the work at Calvary. Because Lucifer wanted to be like the Most High God, the Most High God has been made in the likeness of sinful man to defeat the fallen one.
Why did not God make man so strong that he could withstand the temptation of the Serpent? We know that had Eve and Adam used the shield of faith and been obedient to His will, sin would never have entered into the world, by Adam. Must we say that God permitted Adam to sin in order that He might carry out His will? While we know that on the Cross, the Son of God was delivered according to the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God; that He was slain from before the foundation of the world, yet these words are very plain: Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man (James 1:13; Acts 2:23; I Pet. 1:18-20).
To be sure, it is all a mystery; but in the dispensation of the fulness of times God shall gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, in Him (Eph. 1:10).
Down through the eternal ages God is going to put on exhibition some sinners saved by grace: That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace, in His kindness toward us, through Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:7). The Father has ordained that His well-beloved Son, the Son of His love, should in all things have the preeminence. He is before all things and by Him all things consist. He has been appointed heir of all things. For the joy that was set before Him, He endured the Cross. He suffered humiliation, rejection, and death to redeem, by God's infinite grace, a world of sinners in despair and utter ruin. Nothing but the grace of God can redeem a single member of the human race. There is no cure for man's spiritual disease except the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. No flesh shall ever glory in God's presence. Saved by grace must be the plea of every one who shall enjoy that inheritance which is incorruptible, undefiled and that fadeth not away.
They that are in the flesh cannot please God. That is God's verdict (Rom. 8:8). Man must be justified without a cause (Rom. 3:24). In the flesh, or in the natural man, there dwelleth no good thing (Rom. 7:18). Man's natural righteousness is an offense to God. Self-righteousness is sin and must be pardoned by God's grace before the individual can be acceptable to God. Grace has been described in many terms, but none of them are adequate to express the full meaning and force of the over-abounding grace of the God of all grace. One writer has defined grace as meaning to bestow a valuable gift upon someone who is bankrupt. We often hear the expression: God helps those who help themselves. That is not grace. God bestows His divine power upon the impotent and helpless sinner who realizes his own weakness and despair and seeks the mercy, pardon and strength of God. When God, who is rich in mercy for the great love wherewith He loved us, forgives and empowers the undeserving sinner through Jesus Christ, who by the grace of God tasted death for every man, that is grace. Unmerited favor? Yes and more.
Man without a fall, without sin, would not need restoration; therefore, he would not need grace. For His own glory, God permitted the human race to be plunged into spiritual bankruptcy. But His permission relieves neither Satan nor man of responsibility. No sin, no grace. Grace is for sinners. All are sinners; all need grace. No grace, no salvation; only eternal separation from God.
The bankruptcy was brought by Satan. He beguiled Eve through his subtlety. Then Adam sinned, and by one man sin entered into the world, and all have sinned. If Satan had not fallen through sin, man would never have sinned, for he never would have had the suggestion of sin. Man could have remained sinless and righteous, even when tempted by the devil, but he did not. Satan could have remained sinless and obedient, but he did not. God could have created Satan and man so neither could have sinned, but He did not. You may have God's righteousness as a free gift of His grace and through the Lord Jesus Christ have the divine image restored. Perhaps, you will not? Why not? That's the question. One answer is, Satan (II Cor. 4:3-4). You will never will to be saved until you have the desire.
If you will fall in with God's present plan, submit to His will and turn the government of your life over to the Son of God, you will share His glory ages after He has consigned Satan to the lake of fire. Then and only then will He let you into all of the secrets that you need to know, and answer all the whys that He thinks you ought to know.
Lol, I've studied the bible for over a decade, that's WHY I DON'T believe in it dear. Perhaps you should do that same dear. I find it impassable for every word of the bible to be true, do to the fact that is contradicts itself, over over over again.

God doesn't tempt men- James 1:13
Must I continue?
Jesus was NOT an author of the bible. Though his life was supposedly recorded in the bible.. There is no tangible evidence that Jesus ever existed.
the bible is not in unity of itself. Take Genesis 1 2 for instance. Genesis 1, man women were both created at the same time from the dirt. Genesis 2, Adam was created from dirt then Eve from his rib bone. They were never meant to be of the same book. The scriptures were made suppurate at different time periods, they were not made to me molded into one, there was no intention to do that. The original intent was just to document events, or randomly make up some BS that people might later believe.
-_- you really don't pay attention, now do you. instead of retyping what I put, Ill just copy paste what I previously wrote, perhaps you'll pay attention the second time, if not, third times a charm, aye.
you take it out of context.
It is in NO way related to SATAN, the Devil.
Satan was not even given the title Lucifer until later on AFTER the bible was written, at least that's what my resources point to. That quote WAS indeed referring to Nebuchadnezzar.
What, do you think I'm stupid? Just because I don't believe in the bible does not mean I've not read it. I use to be part of the Christian dogma until I reached that age of reason. Satan was cast from heaven because he refused to bow down to Man, which God proclaimed to be his best work. Satan fancied himself better than man( that, I really can't blame him for, can you?) so fancied himself better than God who created man claimed man to be his best work, so challenged him to a duel for the throne. Satan Lost was cast from heaven deformed.
Though he tempts men goes after them, he CANNOT harm men WITHOUT GOD's consent for him to do so. So in a way, yes he does still serve God. He's the one who tempts. Now taking this a step further, he's still the light barer. He tempts deceives, putting us trough hell. But if we mange through then we see the light, we are brought to the light by the Light Bringer.
Seriously, is you're going to give a bull-crap answer, at least put it in your own words cut it short. You're wasting my time. Say all that you like, but where's your proof?
About Adam Eve. If they were perfect, they would of not made mistake. Really, if God was perfect, how can he then make something of imperfection, less that's how he wanted it to be, which it is apparent that it is not he wanted. So it is evident that God is not perfect, or perhaps he's just toying with us.
Agreed with TY aswell.
***So, to make a long story short... God has his reasons, and you have no idea what those are? Really, was I dont know such a difficult thing to admit?***
I have never pretended to have all the answers- only to trust that He does and that in due-course mine WILL be answered as my capacity to receive them grows
***Seriously, is you're going to give a bull-crap answer, at least put it in your own words cut it short. You're wasting my time. Say all that you like, but where's your proof?***
If my bull-crap answer offends your sensibilities ... don't read it. If you're time is so precious why not devote it to something you'd be good at. I never said Adam and Eve
were perfect. That would make them GOD. Jesus said is it not written that ye are
gods ? ... a far cry from being the Almighty. If there were tangible proof I could offer,
you would find another reason to gripe. Remember: In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool.

Like the song says You and me against the world. Sometimes it seems like this for you too? Just you and your G-d
