I have heard that yes your adhd can get better but im not 100% sure
=]]
Yeah it can I have ADHD and OCD and it can has improved since childhood a lot. About 82% of teenagers do grow out of it or show little signs of having it.
I had to write a five page paper on ADHD it was very interesting.
there are some tips to help you through out your day and I read somewhere that there was medication you can take, but I think thats when its really bad.
what are your symptoms?
hi thanx every one!
I have symptoms are, I cant stay still or be sitted for a long time, talking a lot, I find it difficult to wait my turn for something- If you unserstand! I often interupt people a lot! I am really stupid with following instructions, I find it hard to pay attention to detail, and people always tell me that they think I aren't listenning to them speak- when I am most times!
I stopped my med because It made me groggy in the mornings and I felt bord all the time!
I asked the question because im turning 18 this month the 14th feb and just wanted to know, my uncle is in his 40's and still has it !
Peace
well your symptoms don't seem totally bad...everyone tends to zone out at times and get easily bored.
when reading instructions you can always try to read them over until you fully understand it.
& I heard that if you sit in front of the class and away from distractions you are more capable on focusing on the teachers.
If you want you can also try going to therapy ..im not sure if that'll help but you have nothing to lose!
I hope I helped!
I think that ADHD is hardest to cope with in the school environment. When you get older and IF you are lucky/talented enough to get a job which really matches your skills, then the problems with concentration can be less of an issue (e.g. getting a job with a lot of variety, or movement etc). Coupled with the fact that it does seem to wear off in some people as they get older, it does mean that a lot of adults have much less of a problem with their ADHD than they did when they were children.
Very good luck...
