Hobbies a 50-year-old woman might enjoy?

So I was just talking to my mom and she says she's been bored lately. Bored of her hobbies, bored with her life. So I told her she should try taking up something she never even considered doing. So my question is: what are some hobbies a 50-year-old...

woman might enjoy? Suggest anything, I just need ideas.

First thing that comes to my mind, yoga. I know tons of people that do yoga at that age.

Refinishing old pieces of furniture from flea markets, redecorating the house, gardening, oil painting, if she likes to be creative.

You are a real sweetheart to be thinking about your mom in that way. I'd say that's uncommon.

The thing about refinishing furniture and painting, is that the chemicals can be harmful to some people. I'm 54 but have lung problems. Oil or Acrytic painting is probably ok but I might scratch the other.
And, yes, it is sweet of you to think of your Mom and what she might like to do.

 
How about sharing computer time. Turn her on to some of the Q A sites, especially those that might be in her field of interest.

if there is a husband tell them to screw around more. if not tell her to date and then screw around more.

My mom enjoys calligraphy. She's been doing it for years and has much enjoyment from it. Check out calligraphywizard dot com. She said its easy to master too.
